Scripture: Luke 19:1-9
Some people are isolated and alone because of a situation of their own making. Such was the case with a tax collector named Zacchaeus, whose story is told in Luke 19. He was ostracized by his community because of his own actions. The temptation when we meet folks like him is to say something like this: "You made your own bed; now you have to lie in it." This Sunday, September 21, we will consider a meeting that Jesus had with a man who was hard to like.
